Working with Cyn has been transformative! I originally started reformer pilates because everytime I would go to the gym I'd end up with aggravated injuries or misalignment that would leave me in pain, without seeing results and incredibly frustrated. Reformer pilates removed the triggering of injuries, but it was when I specifically started working with Cynthia, where the focus began on my alignment and technique, that all of a sudden (and I mean that literally in the moment) my body and muscles would start firing in all the right places finally! My booty started to grow, my shoulder started to move, and even my feet are starting to respond (I know!) Now all of this makes getting out of bed the next day interesting, but that day after soreness means she got my body responding! I'm forever grateful to Cyn for taking such good care of my body physically and energetically even if I do curse at her the whole way through!

I first met Cynthia in a group Pilates class where I was mortified because I was just beginning my Pilates journey. During that class I couldn’t get out of my head and into my body for a simple move. That day, her love and care for me, a stranger, was absolutely life changing. She took time after class to walk me through the move and ensure that I left knowing I can do anything by just focusing on my body and trusting my strength. Fast forward a few years and I fell and broke my ankle (compound fracture). As soon as I was able to start physical therapy I knew I would not trust anyone but her on that painful and scary journey. To say Cynthia is Magic would be an understatement. Her passion for the human body and its potential is unmatched and you couple that with her beautiful heart and soul and you get an elite class human. If it wasn’t for her passion for recovery and the patience of a saint there is no way I would have recovered mobility so quickly. Now Cynthia is stuck with me for life. Oh and not to mention she is a top tier, best of the best Pilates instructor.

Cynthia and I were connected by a mutual acquaintance in 2020 during the pandemic, and our very first meeting was over Zoom. I ended up "seeing" her privately two to three times a week through my laptop, and let me tell you, she was the best thing that came out of that year. Even through a screen, Cynthia’s guidance was remarkable - clear, thoughtful cues that helped me understand exactly where to focus and how to deepen each movement. Fast forward a bit… we’re still together, and I still see her several times a week (thankfully in person!) in a group setting. The cues are still there, too, but now I also get to witness how well Cynthia manages a class full of different ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. You’ll leave feeling like the session was designed just for you, because that’s her magic - understanding YOUR body, not just teaching an exercise. What I’m really trying to say is: you need Cynthia. She’s the one.

I originally started Pilates with Cynthia almost three years ago because I was dealing with a lot of stress, anxiety, and lower-back pain and I knew I needed something to help me feel better both physically and mentally. From the very beginning, the process felt supportive and grounding. She has such a calm, knowledgeable way of teaching, and something I really value is how she always meets my body exactly where it is on that particular day. Some days I come in feeling tight or stressed, and she adjusts without ever making me feel like I’m falling behind. And on the days when I have more energy or feel ready for more, she gently challenges me and encourages me to go further—always in a way that feels safe and empowering. Today, I feel like a completely different person. My stress and anxiety have noticeably reduced, my core strength has improved, and my back pain is so much less than it used to be. I’m so much more aware of how to move and use my body, and that has made a huge difference in my everyday life. What makes the experience truly unique is the balance of mental and physical support she offers. It’s not just exercise—it feels like taking care of my entire self. I always leave feeling better than when I walked in, and I’m genuinely grateful for the consistency and care she brings to every session.

Cynthia is truly gifted in the world of movement and I think of her as my angel-doctor-godess-friend. :) Her style of teaching is so carefully constructed and has a special ability to tap into body/mind/joint connections that go deeper than just basic muscle and fitness coordination in order to help anyone she works with. I am SO grateful she started teaching since it brought us together years ago. As a fellow pilates instructor myself, I know the method and she goes above and beyond it in the best way possible. She continues to challenge me as her student and makes me want to be a better instructor which is why Cyn is one of the only teachers that I will literally rearrange my own schedule just to be able to take her class. That's just how incredible she is.

The reason I prioritize Cyn as an instructor is she has such a wealth of knowledge about the anatomy of the human body along with empathy for its capabilities. Cyn always has workout cues that support the brain sending the proper signals, and if it's not, staying open and delicate with why and how to adjust the movements to support that. As a hypermobile person - my muscles sometimes won't fire without an external reference point, and if I say "can I get a little proprioception here?" She knows exactly what I mean, and does not hesitate to come give me hands on feedback to encourage the muscles to turn on. This is rare in a world of group classes and self support. The attention to what I need specifically keeps my workouts working and my brain feeling safe to push my body to its limits, so I continue to grow and improve. Plus she's sassy as hell, and that's just all vibes.

Two years ago a friend took me to my first Pilates class with Cynthia. I was really nervous as it was outside my comfort zone but I was immediately put at ease when I met Cynthia! I first started seeing Cynthia at the early start of 2025. I was in a place where my workout routines were not motivating nor exciting for me. I decided to join Cynthia’s class by a recommendation of a friend and still remember the first class I took. I walked in feeling a bit nervous and shy but was immediately welcomed by Cynthia who reassured me that Pilates was for everyone and her class made me feel just that! Since joining Cynthia’s classes I feel stronger and overall happier with the progress I’ve made both physically and mentally. Her classes have built a sense of community by her warmth and energy. She makes you feel encouraged and inspired the second you walk into the studio. During her classes, Cynthia pays active attention to detail by making sure your body is aligned with the movements so you feel the impact and adjusts you as needed. She is constantly encouraging us to try different movements but also telling us to listen to our bodies. Her knowledge of Pilates goes beyond just the machine, she is always making sure everyone is feeling motivated and confident which every instructor should strive to provide. We always end the class with a “big thank you to our bellies” and that alone makes me feel empowered, stronger and thankful. I highly recommend Cynthia’s classes!

I started Pilates with Cynthia about five years ago because I wanted to move better, build strength, and learn proper technique not just follow workouts without really understanding them. Post surgery I was given a clean bill of health but I was still experiencing a lot of post surgical pain. My body was holding onto a lot of tension and because of that, my shoulders were misaligned. One session with Cyn got me right back on track. A number of months later I had another session. We worked on some of the scar tissue and I regained even more range of motion in my shoulders. I’m so grateful I had Cyn to help me through the recovery process. The outcome wouldn’t have been the same without her!

Cynthia is so knowledgeable not only about Pilates techniques, but she has a vast understanding of anatomy and knows what tweaks need to be made to get the most out of our sessions. She is encouraging and funny, and keeps each class fresh with new routines. (I had no idea the reformer could be used in so many ways!). Something I love about her, is that she is incredibly clear in explaining instructions and she makes everything both accessible to beginners and challenging for more experienced students. When I started with Cyn about 1 1/2 years ago, I was intimidated by the reformer pilates world and scared, honestly, of standing up on the reformer and the chair. I tried several studios and teachers and felt a real connection with Cyn and her teaching style. I wanted to develop my core strength and find an alternative to impact-based exercises that I had been doing for decades. Cyn has that great combination of deep knowledge of the body, relentless positivity and creativity in communication, so that every class is different from the next and is focused on personal growth. I’ve gained a lot of core strength over the past months I’ve been training with her. Her adjustments and cues are always safe and spot-on. She is ever mindful of individual injuries and provides excellent alternatives. I’m amazed at how easy some things are for me now, like sitting up from prone on a soft surface, that I struggled with before starting Pilates with Cyn. I used to feel very stiff bending over or getting up from a squat or the floor; after just a few months working with Cyn I noticed that became much easier. I have better balance, reach, flexibility and strength. I always feel so great after her class. I really appreciate Cyn’s insistence on the uniqueness and capability of every body and fitness level in the class. I really trust her knowledge of the body’s structure, muscles and tissues and how specific exercises target certain areas. Her teaching is extremely effective. I truly feel Pilates has helped my body and joints immensely as I age.

I found Cynthia’s class while searching for something to help me heal an injury and reconnect with my body. I felt completely out of touch, and traditional physical therapy wasn’t working for me at all, I literally quit after the first day. I knew I needed someone who could challenge me in a way that felt supportive and intentional. Cynthia is unlike any instructor I’ve experienced! As a dancer, I’ve taken many classes that feel like you’re just going through the motions, but her teaching is different. Almost every class has moments so intense they bring me close to tears, yet I always leave feeling grateful, empowered, and eager to come back. My injury has improved tremendously, and I now move with a level of strength, confidence, and awareness I didn’t think I’d get back. My body and I owe a lot to Cynthia. Not only has she been able to help me with better alignment, but she also was the reason why I had such a smooth pregnancy. I was in Pilates multiple times a week, and Cynthia helped me understand what my body could do and made me feel strong. She also helped me open my hips when it was a time to give birth. I was on the reformer the morning I went into labor because I knew that Cynthia could help ease me into the transition. Not only does Cynthia help you with your body, but she also helps you with your mind and spirit. She is constantly helping you improve your self talk, body image, perception of how you relate to the world, and what it means to be a spirit in a body that is always changing, growing, learning, and is never incorrect or wrong. Taking a class with Cynthia is a full experience. You learn how to do everything correctly, which helps you in other types of workouts. You learn how to make sure your body is in the right place, and then you also learn how to connect your body to your mind and to your breath, all while laughing, and grooving to some of the best playlists I’ve ever heard. If you are interested in taking a class from Cynthia, do it. You will not regret the amazing transformation that You will have holistically over time.
