Our philosophy

Your core represents strength and stability.
Your root symbolizes grounding and inner strength.
Fitness is the path that connects them,
the ongoing journey of learning, healing, and growth.

WHO ARE WE

Core Rooted Fitness is a movement-based studio dedicated to helping people rebuild strength, restore balance, and rediscover confidence in their bodies.
Here, movement is both a tool for recovery and a pathway toward long-term strength and performance.

Every body deserves to move freely, without pain, limitation, or fear. Whether you're working through an injury, managing chronic discomfort, navigating life changes, or simply wanting to feel stronger and more connected, CRF meets you exactly where you are, and as a fun fact, CRF also happens to be my initials. This work is deeply personal.

THE LOTUS SYMBOL

Why the Lotus?

Illustration of a dark gray succulent plant with multiple overlapping elongated leaves, and visible roots at the bottom.

The lotus reflects what movement can offer. Just as the lotus rises from the mud to bloom with strength and grace, we too can grow through challenges and emerge renewed.

In the CRF lotus, the darker petals symbolize where we begin; pain, imbalance, uncertainty. The lighter petals symbolize what's possible; clarity, strength, freedom. Together, they tell the story of transformation.

Movement Educator & Recovery Specialist

I'm Cyn; the guide, creator, and driving force behind Core Rooted Fitness.

My journey has been anything but linear. From 2017 to 2019, I lived with chronic lower back pain. In 2018, I endured three ankle sprains in just three months. Now, I'm navigating perimenopause with curiosity and grace. Through it all, movement has remained my sanctuary and anchor.

At 16, a family member introduced me to weightlifting, teaching me how effort transforms into strength. Years later, martial arts taught me discipline and precision. In 2021, earning my black belt reminded me that strength and softness can coexist.

Nearly ten years of teaching have shown me that transformation isn't tied to one method. It's the flow between them all; woven together into something greater than the sum of their parts.

I know what it's like to move through pain and find steadiness on the other side. My purpose is to help you reconnect with your body, rebuild trust in your strength, and rediscover ease in movement.

That is the heart of Core Rooted Fitness.
